There are three different searches on this site:
1. Search for a coach
2. Search for a book or a coaching resource
3. Search for a seminar or workshop.
Search for a CoachThere are several ways to search for a coach;
First by type. The options are All, Personal, Professional, and Other. Other includes Mentoring Coaching, NLP and other types listed in the Niche dropdown menu these dropdowns will be added to as coaches register and include their particular niche of coaching expertise.
To do any of these searches simply click the little round box in front of the type of coach you are looking for and the click search which is under the other search options.
If you happen to do a search for a type of coach that we don’t have registered you will get this message:
Sorry... No matching Results found.... Given Result is of Full searchThis means that there were no coaches that met your search criteria so results shown are the same as if you did a full search.
This can be very helpful while our site is new and will happen less often as more coaches’ register and our list of coach specialties grows. The search is programmed so you can chose from the coaches that may have niches you would like to consider and you will not have to keep doing endless searches without results.
You can further refine your search for a coach by adding:
First, last or full name of the coach
The region closest to your area
The hourly rate
Niche speciality
NOTE: the niche list will change depending on what type of coach you have selected.
The region list will only have the regions of coaches currently registered at People Coaching People. This list will grow over time.
As you may know, coaching is unique; it is not mandatory that your coach lives in the same area as you do…people can be coached in many ways other then face to face.
The niche lists will only include specialties listed by coaches as they register so this list will also grow over time.
Once you have selected any of the search refinements above just click the search button.
After you have your search results; you can click on the column titles to sort your search results in ascending or descending order.
Search for a book or coaching resourceTo search for a book or coaching resource first put click the circle in front of Books.
If you wish you can simply click search and all the books listed on the site will show in the results.
You can refine your search by:
The book name; a full or partial title will work.
The author; a Full or partial name search will work.
A keyword; these are words that describe the content of the book: E.G: relationships or conflict.
Keywords are words that the coach may have used to describe the content of the book they are offering.
NOTE: If you refine your search and no books fit the criteria you have entered then all books available will be displayed.
Search for workshop or SeminarIf you click the button for Seminars & Workshops:
All is pre-selected and you can simply click search and all seminars and workshops listed by registered coaches will be displayed in your results. Search results may be re-sorted by clicking on the results column titles: Name, Venue city, cost or dates.
There are several options for refining your search by selecting Personal, professional or other in the type choices. You can select a region, type in a city or choose the nearest town. Keywords describe what the workshop or seminar is about.
We added the category ‘Nearest city’ to help you identify where a workshop or seminar will be held help clarify where the venue is.
Keep in mind the more criteria you enter the longer a search will take to give you results.
NOTE: Sometimes the first time you search for a book or seminar and add text to the search criteria; the search will change to a coach search. This is a problem with the search engine and should not happen again if you return to the search page and search again.
This seems to happen when words are entered that do not fit the other criteria you have entered. It is a known issue and we are working to find the cause.
If, in the process of performing searches on this website and find errors or reoccurring problems:
Please contact the webmaster (listed on the contact page) and send a detailed account of the search criteria used, a copy of the error message (if there is one) and the full URL of the page where the error occurred.
Searches can be very complicated to write and often there will be some search process that hasn’t been written into the search code. We will appreciate any feedback and assistance that helps refine our search.
